The work got a lot better this
week. We have been seeing a lot of miracles in the area which is a nice change.
Unfortunately its coming a little late and I probably won’t be around to see
the fruits, but it’s exciting to watch it start to play out. Our investigator,
S, wants to stop but we have been able to change her thoughts and set up an
appointment to knock some sense into her. We just have to drop some cane and
she'll keep going I think. She could get baptized in the next couple of weeks.
We have also been finding a lot of cool people. One was a reference from two
girls that got baptized recently. Their friend was giving them grief because as
Mormons we worship Joseph Smith. So they were like wrong and invited him to a
FHE with us and the sisters. We got to answer a lot of questions and explain
the articles of faith to him. We just yesterday went over to his house for a
lesson and his sister and their friend was there to so we taught all three. It
was a really good lesson and they are seem pretty interested. Also, the guy
said the closing prayer of the first visit. Almost never happens. AND he prayed
for us by name. NEVER HAPPENS! So that’s cool. We also had a good curbside
lesson with a contact and it turns out she knows the Bishops family really well
so that’s a good in for us.
As
far as new ideas, the ward is having a Family History activity next Sunday. We
are inviting everyone in the ward to come and learn how to do some family
history. The church has the best records as far as family history goes, in Argentina
so its basically the only way to do it, jaja, so that should be fun.
